Greenhill Alumna Awarded Scholarship by US-Ireland Alliance

Congratulations to Swati Ravi '18, who was awarded the George J. Mitchell scholarship by US-Ireland Alliance for studying MSc in Space Science and Technology at University College Dublin for the 2022-23 academic year. The Senator George J. Mitchell Scholarship Program is an initiative of the US-Ireland Alliance and a nationally competitive postgraduate award for twelve Mitchell Scholars to pursue one year of study in Ireland and Northern Ireland.Swati is a senior at Columbia University majoring in Astrophysics with a concentration in Mathematics/Biology and a proud alumna of Greenhill. Her accomplishments at Columbia include developing an astronaut tool to help detect hazardous portions of handrails on the International Space Station, a collaboration with NASA's Neutral Buoyancy Laboratory. She won first place for her paper about that project at the 2021 AIAA SciTech Forum, the world's largest conference for aerospace research and development.Swati was also recently awarded 20 Twenties by Aviation Week for the accomplishments and drive of 20 science, technology, engineering, and math students in their twenties.
