Senior Earns Prestigious Girl Scout Gold Award
Congratulations to Samantha Herrmann ’26 who earned her Girl Scout Gold Award earlier this month.
On June 8, Greenhill’s Samantha Herrmann ’26 was presented with her Girl Scout Gold Award. The Gold Award is the highest and most prestigious achievement in Girl Scouting, awarded to Senior and Ambassador Girl Scouts who demonstrate exceptional leadership through projects that address a community issue. To earn the Gold Award, girls must commit 80+ hours to a project, build a team of advisors, and make a lasting positive impact. Samantha’s project increased fruit yield at the Farmers Branch Community Garden to support sustainable produce donations to local food banks. She and volunteers introduced native Texas plants to 14 orchard plots to provide food sources and shelter for pollinators, resulting in the garden being certified as a North American Butterfly Association habitat. Congratulations on a job well done, Samantha! |
