Students Win Statewide Poster Contest

Congratulations to Emily Hu ’34 and Clara Hu ’37 for winning the poster contest for their age division in the 2025 Law Day Contest.

Each year, the State Bar of Texas and the Texas Young Lawyers Association celebrate the importance of the rule of law and its impact on our nation and local communities by hosting statewide editorial, photo, and poster contests based on the American Bar Association Law Day yearly theme.

Local bars and young lawyer affiliates are encouraged to hold local contests and submit their first-place winners in each category to the statewide contest. Entries must place in a local contest to be allowed submission into the statewide contest.

Two Greenhill siblings won the poster contest for their age division: Emily Hu ’34 (third to fourth grade) and Clara Hu ’37 (kindergarten to second grade)!

This year’s theme was “The Constitution’s Promise: Out of Many, One,” with students responding to the prompt: “To further instill pride in our Constitution, depict the ways in which the rule of law bridges our differences to bring us together as a united nation.”

President Dwight D. Eisenhower established Law Day in 1958 as a way to challenge Americans to understand how the rule of law impacts their lives and to develop the knowledge and skills necessary to participate in a democracy.

Congratulations, Emily and Clara!
