Student-Athletes Honored at 2nd Annual ESPY’s of Greenhill
Congratulations to the varsity athletes who received awards at the second annual ESPY’s of Greenhill Awards.
On May 17, the Greenhill Athletics Department hosted the second annual ESPY’s of Greenhill Awards in Rose Hall.
The Greenhill community was invited to the ESPY's (Excellence in Sports Performance Yearly) of Greenhill Awards to celebrate, recognize, and honor the performances of our varsity teams during the 2024-2025 year.
The following student-athletes received awards:
Eden Collins ’28 – Breakthrough Female Athlete
In track and field, she stepped up and earned a spot on the 4x100 (the second-fastest in SPC) and 4x400 (SPC Champs, the third-fastest relay team in school history).

Trey Davis ’27 – Breakthrough Male Athlete
In football, he distinguished himself as the team MVP as a sophomore. His leadership qualities and work ethic set a strong example for the team, contributing significantly to their overall success this season.

JJ Arbuckle ’25 – Best Championship Performance
In swimming, he delivered a standout performance at the 4A SPC Championship, breaking three school records and earning All-SPC honors in every event he swam in.

Jaxson Thompson ’26 – Best Moment
In basketball, he hit the game-winning shot with 2 seconds left on the clock to beat St. Mark’s School of Texas to send the team to the SPC Championship.

Rian Kinsler ’27 – Best Record-Breaking Performance (Female)
In track and field, she broke the school record in the 200M in an amazing race at the SPC Championships. She also ran the second-fastest 100M in school history at the championship and anchored the third-fastest 4x400 relay in school history.

Chris Williams ’25 – Best Record-Breaking Performance (Male)
In track and field, he shattered the school records in the 800M and the 1600M in back-to-back weeks. He broke both of these records not by tenths of a second, but by seconds.

Boys Basketball – Outstanding Team
The boys basketball team had a 29-4 regular season record, including a 7-1 SPC record. They won the SPC Championship for the first time in 25 years.

Boys Soccer – Best Game/Match/Meet
The boys soccer team beat St. Mark’s School of Texas in the semi-final game with penalty kicks to launch them into the championship game.

Bryson Watt ’25 – Most Impact Male Athlete
He is a standout three-sport athlete known for his leadership, clutch performances, and impactful presence on the field. Excelling in football, basketball, and baseball, his impact continues to inspire many with his versatility and perseverance.

Kendall Johnson ’26 – Most Impact Female Athlete
She is a second-year captain and undoubtedly one of the best leaders on and off the court. In volleyball, she has been a starting libero for every match for three consecutive years, becoming the first libero in the program's history to reach 1,000 digs.
