Greenhill Debate Team Continues to Build a Tremendous Legacy

The Greenhill Debate Team once again had an incredible summer season and continued to build on its decades of excellence.
 
This past June, the Debate Team competed at the National Speech & Debate Association's National Tournament, which is the largest academic competition in the world. By tournament's end, Greenhill had a pair of national championships to add to its collection.
 
Joshua Timmons '21 was crowned as national champion in Poetry Interpretation and also advanced to the elimination rounds in Program of Oral Interpretation and Prose Interpretation.
 
In the World Schools Debate competition, the team of Caroline Greenstone '22, Jothi Gupta '22, Cameron Kettles '22, Ashley Shan '22, and Aimee Stachowiak '22 came away with their first-ever national championship after 12 rounds of intense competition.

In addition, Krutin Devesh '22 reached the elimination rounds in Lincoln Douglas Debate while Natalie Stachowiak '24 was invited to be in the Final Showcase, making her one of 10 students in the competition with both domestic and international competitors.
 
Debate coaches Cindi and Aaron Timmons were awarded their fourth and fifth Diamond Coaching awards, respectively, for competitive excellence.
