Dear Eighth Grade Families,
The end is in sight, and all of us in the Middle School are working to close this most unusual spring with both reflection and celebration for your almost-high-schoolers. I’m writing to let you know details for the final days of the school year.
MONDAY, MAY 18, AND TUESDAY, MAY 19
Advisory, “old” academic classes, and elective classes are scheduled for these two days. Students and families have the schedules. Conferences are Monday and Tuesday afternoons.
WEDNESDAY, MAY 20
Conferences are scheduled throughout the morning. An eighth grade culminating activity is scheduled for the afternoon with information to come from the eighth grade advisors.
The Academics, Arts, and Athletics Assembly will be posted for your viewing on Wednesday, May 20, at 3:30 pm. You will receive the link for the assembly at that time. This assembly will be pre-recorded, and we will share the academic, arts, and athletic honors earned by our Middle School students throughout the school year. A special treat will be two student performers.
THURSDAY, MAY 21
The Eighth Grade Recognition Ceremony, live and pre-recorded, will be held on Thursday, May 21, at 3:00 pm. We're excited to honor the Class of 2024 with a unique event that will celebrate their years in the Middle School and their many contributions to the community.

Please forward this link to your family and friends who would like to celebrate with your eighth grader. We will resend the link and a reminder next week before the event. Following the ceremony, you and your student will receive the link to the class video montage, a fun and exciting way to end the day!
I continue to be grateful for your flexibility and support as we have worked to craft these culminating events honoring the Class of 2024.
