Greenhill Debate Captures Multiple Titles at Weekend Tournament

The Greenhill Debate Team started off the 2019-20 season on a high note with multiple victories at the Plano/Clark Swing Tournament this past weekend.WORLD SCHOOLS DEBATE
In the World Schools Debate, Greenhill had a pair of teams close out the final round and were awarded with first- and second-place showings. The team of Jothi Gupta '22, Ashton Higgins '22, and Cameron Kettles '22 were the top-ranked team in the tournament while Aimee Stachowiak '22, Caroline Greenstone '22, and Ashley Shan '22 were ranked and finished second overall.Greenstone, Gupta, and Kettles were all awarded with Top Speaking Honors.LINCOLN DOUGLAS DEBATE
Arush Adabala '22 reached the finals in the Lincoln Douglas Debate while Nikitha Thoduguli '23 was an octo-finalist in the Plano/Clark Tournament. In the Clark Tournament, Adabala and Hannah Zhou '23 were both quarterfinalists.INDIVIDUAL EVENTS
Joshua Timmons '21 earned first-place honors at the Plano Senior High School Tournament to go along with a third-place showing at the Clark High School Tournament in Oral Interpretation. Megan Liu '23 finished first overall in Prose.
