Remote Learning Will Continue Through April 10

Greenhill Families,As we finish our first three days of remote learning, I wanted to say how proud I am of our entire community. We have truly been #GreenhillTogether this week, and we have discovered new ways to grow together. I heard heartwarming accounts of our students and teachers reconnecting and sharing stories about life at home during this unprecedented time in history... and learning has continued!We also know that we are still in a period of tremendous uncertainty as the number of COVID-19 cases in North Texas continues to rise. While we hope to be able to reopen campus soon, the health and safety of our community must continue to be our highest priority. As a result, we have made the decision to extend remote learning through Friday, April 10. This decision is in line with our peer schools in the region as well.The Greenhill campus will remain closed through Sunday, April 12, and all campus events originally scheduled during that time will be cancelled or postponed. Please continue to check our coronavirus website for the most up-to-date event information.Friday, April 10 is scheduled as a school holiday, and for the benefit of our students (and their in-home teachers!), we will not hold any remote classes on that day.Again, we know that closing campus is a significant challenge for our families, and we are grateful for your support during this time. We remain in contact with Dallas County Health and Human Services, and we will continue to monitor the news of the outbreak in our area. In addition, we are listening to the needs and concerns of our families as we make determinations about how long we will continue to engage in remote learning. At this time, unless we hear otherwise from local health officials, we plan to announce updates on campus closure toward the end of each week.Finally, we appreciate the support you have offered to both your students and our faculty members this week. Please continue to communicate with us to make sure that we are supporting you as we move through these next few weeks.
