Over the last three decades, the Greenhill Debate Team has amassed a level of success on the state, regional and national levels that is virtually unparalled. Under the steadfast leadership of Director of Debate & Speech Aaron Timmons and Associate Director of Debate Eric Forslund, the program continues to grow, and even surpass, the accomplishments of previous seasons.
The success of the debate program has increased Greenhill's exposure, not only in Dallas, but nationally and internationally. Aaron Timmons' perspective stretches far and wide. "Our program is increasing the academic reputation and perception of the School. Students who are skills in debate not only help the Greenhill community, but they also help the broader national community."
This past weekend, members of the Greenhill Debate Team qualified for a spot at the National Debate & Speech Tournament after competing at the Lone Star District Tournament, which is considered one of the most competitive in the country.

The Greenhill Debate Team captured its third championship of the season this past weekend when the squad traveled to Nevada to compete at The Meadows School Debate Tournament, one of most competitive in the West.
The Greenhill Debate Team hosted both a Fall Classic tournament, which featured the best programs in the country, as well as a Lincoln Douglas Round Robin Tournament, and as always, the program came away with outstanding overall results this past weekend.
