Hornets Remain Unbeaten; Down Oakridge School, 48-14

The Greenhill football program improved to 4-0 overall, including 2-0 in SPC Counter action, after defeating Oakridge School by a 48-14 count on Friday evening at Brinkmann Field.
 
After falling behind 7-6 after one quarter of action, the Hornets outscored the Owls by a 42-7 count over the next three quarters. In addition, the Hornets outgained their opponents by a 537 to 339 margin, including 265 yards on the ground compared to 93 for the Owls.
 
Senior Konnell Woods finished 9-of-21 for 272 yards and three touchdowns to go along with 152 yarsd and two scores on the ground. Woods connected with junior Xavier Bryant for scores of 60 and 13 yards while tossing an 84-yard score to senior Bryson Houston. In addition, Woods ran for scores of 66 and 13 yards in the third quarter of action.
 
Houston caught three passes for 138 yards and a score while Bryant caught a pair of passes for 73 yards. Junior Kassidy Woods caught three passes for 45 yards in the contest.
 
Senior Jake Hershman rushed for 96 yards on nine carries, including a 29-yard touchdown score to open up the third quarter of action. DaRon Hall rushed for a 5-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter.
