Greenhill AVP Students Start Film Season on Strong Note

Greenhill's Upper School Advanced Video Production students began the festival circuit on a strong note as several films received national and international acceptance and honors.

Junior Chloe Merriman's film The Good Wife's Guide got accepted to Southwest by Southwest (SxSW), which is considered one of the top three film festivals in North America. In addition, this is the only film festival of the three to accept high school student films for jurying, and Merriman's film was one of eight high school films accepted this year. Over the last 13 years, Greenhill has had 52 films accepted to SxSW.

Senior Georgia Sasso's film Consent: How Rape Culture Affects Teen Development & Relationships has been accepted to 11 festivals and has already captured four awards. The film won honors at the Independent Shorts Awards, IndieX Film Festival, and Independent Shorts Awards.
