Talents of the Greenhill students have been showcased throughout North Texas. Students have had work exhibited and been honored in the Texas Visual Art Association, and Young American Talent competitions, two highly-regarded regional art competitions. In addition, artwork from all divisions has been featured in the Dallas Museum of Art's Young Artist Exhibitions.
Students use digital technology as a central core of their personal voice and artistic expression. Inside Greenhill's Filmmaking & Digital Art Lab, students develop their skills from learning the very basics of creating images to developing award-winning digital masterpieces. With the aid of emerging technology, students have the opportunity develop stunning works of art.
Over the past two decades, Greenhill's video production program has grown from a single film class to a nationally-acclaimed program that inspires gifted students to pursue promising film careers. Greenhill films consistently earn accolades at film festivals around the world. In fact, Greenhill has had the most films accepted to SXSW of any school for seven years and counting.
Greenhill has produced several award-winning students from the Visual Arts program, including recent winners at YoungArts – the core program of the National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts (NFAA). Students have also been honored at the Photo Imagining Education Association (PIEA) International Student-Teacher Photography Competition and Exhibition, which features works from over 5,700 entries all over the globe.
