Over Memorial Day weekend, Dylan Thio ’37 competed in the South “Little Mo” Regionals competition in Arlington, Texas. Regionals are open to any player ages 8-12 who lives in the United States and its territories. The top four yellow ball players (semifinalists) in each age division from each regional tournament will advance to the prestigious “Little Mo” Nationals in Austin, Texas. Dylan won first place in the eight-year-old division, punching his ticket to the 29th annual “Little Mo” Nationals, where he will compete against the best eight-year-olds in the nation. The "Little Mo" is a "one of a kind" tournament for young tennis players held in honor of tennis legend Maureen "Little Mo" Connolly Brinker. These special events focus on new friendships, great sportsmanship, and competitive matches, with approximately 2,500 youngsters from over 70 countries competing annually. Congratulations, Dylan, and good luck at Nationals! |
