MS Musical 2025

Finding Nemo, Jr.

We’re excited this year to bring the world of Finding Nemo, Jr. to the Greenhill stage!

We’re all familiar with the 2003 Pixar movie Finding Nemo, the story of an anxious clownfish father, Marlin, searching for his precocious and lost son, Nemo, and along the way encountering a fun and quirky cast of characters – from sharks who have sworn off eating fish to surfer-inspired sea turtles coasting on the East Australian Current!

But did you know that Finding Nemo The Musical was an original stage play at Disney’s Animal Kingdom with songs written by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, who would go on to write the songs for Frozen? It’s no wonder the songs in this show are so good!

At the heart of this play is a coming-of-age story about letting go, trusting, and family. Marlin learns to trust his son; Nemo learns to trust himself; and Dory finally finds her memory and a family. It’s a simple hero’s journey in a lot of ways, but with a lot of depth under the surface – and some really fun characters and catchy music!

I’m so proud of the work our students have done these last months, and they couldn’t have done so without the excellent creative team of Mr. E., Mrs. Goold, Ms. G, and Mrs. Darnell, the support and ingenuity of our technical theatre faculty, Mrs. Burns, Mr. Turbyne, Mrs. Hope, and Mr. Mark, and without the support of you, their friends and family! Thank you!

We hope you’ll enjoy the songs and story of Finding Nemo, Jr.!
