Spring Play 2026

The 39 Steps

Adapted by Patrick Barlow, from the novel by John Buchan, from the movie by Alfred Hitchcock.

Buckle up for The 39 Steps, a gloriously absurd spy thriller where our fearless cast tackles over 100 characters in Alfred Hitchcock's classic tale of espionage gone hilariously wrong. Watch our dashing hero Richard Hannay dodge danger, romance three mysterious women, and unravel a conspiracy – all while our versatile ensemble juggles villains, sidekicks, and scenery in full comedic chaos. This ingenious parody transforms Hitchcock's 1935 suspense masterpiece into a laugh-out-loud slapstick comedy adventure with quick changes, clever staging, and enough plot twists to make your head spin!
