Greenhill Alumni
For nearly 75 years, Greenhill School has prepared and inspired students to lead authentic, purposeful lives. Our alumni are valuable members of our community, connecting traditions of the past with a bright future.
Every graduate becomes a member of the Greenhill Alumni Association at commencement, joining a community of more than 5,000 individuals.
This network is a lifelong benefit with many ways to stay connected with each other and the School. We encourage you to keep the Alumni Office informed of your successes through sharing in our LinkedIn group or emailing Katie Young.
Upcoming Events
Our gatherings are held in cities across the country throughout the year. They are a great opportunity for you to meet other alumni in your area, hear Greenhill updates, and reconnect with our Greenhill classmates and friends.

Analyze an Empire
Conduct an autopsy of an empire, dissecting the leadership, social dynamics, and other factors to understand the ultimate cause of death. Students summarize findings in an obituary which is presented to classmates.

Statistics
Use simulations to answer tricky probability questions, like what are the chances that a child’s nesting cups will stack up if they come in a random order? Or if students all randomly pick an IDs from the table, what are the chances that no one picks their own ID?

Magnetic Fields
Study the magnetic force on a current-carry wire using highly sensitive balance scales containing strong magnets. Watch as the scale reading changes to determine the force the magnetic field exerts on the wire.

KATIE ’10
"The friendships I made at Greenhill endure today, and those friends remain some of my very dearest to this day. Alongside the support of my family, Greenhill’s rigorous academics, incredible faculty, exposure to the arts and commitment to service helped shaped me into the person I am today. That foundation has guided my path in the 10+ years since. I think the Alumni Board is a great way to connect with fellow alumni across classes, re-engage with faculty and help play a small role alongside those who are committed to helping shape the future of Greenhill."

"Throughout my time at Greenhill, teachers used Socratic Seminars allowing students to pose questions to the class that lead to an open discussion and discourse. This forced me to analyze the reading/work the night before and come prepared to share my opinion and questions. This exercise forced me to practice analyzing a subset of materials, effectively articulating my findings, and active listening. I often find myself leveraging these tools at work."

COURTNEY '06
"Greenhill to me means freedom of thought and expression. When I came to Greenhill in high school, I finally felt the space to learn in my own way. My teachers encouraged individual thinking in a collaborative environment and allowed me to challenge ideas freely. I’m thankful to Greenhill for fostering this critical thinking skill and a love of learning that has proven invaluable in my professional and personal life."
