This week wrapped up the regular fall season for 2026. Thank you to our seniors and teams that played in their final game or performed for the last time this fall.
Cross Country
After their big meet in Austin, they did not compete this week but spent time starting their preparation for SPC.
Cheer
Big shoutout to the cheerleaders for their excellent spirit and performance during the final football game of the season. We appreciate all the time and energy you put forth to make the pep rally and football games filled with great spirit, cheering, and tumbling!
Football
The team gave another valiant effort but unfortunately fell short to a very tough Brazos team. Thank you to football players. While the roster is small, the effort and dedication to the team were not. We should all be proud of the boys who often had to play both offense and defense, which is not what most teams have to rely on. Our opponents are often sending out fresh bodies on offense who get to rest while their team is on defense and vise versa. We do not have that luxury, but these boys gave everything they had to represent Greenhill with pride and class every time they stepped on the field.
A special shout out to Trey Davis. Unfortunately, we see more and more athletes unwilling to play for their high school teams in any sport when they have committed to play in college because of fear of getting of hurt. Trey knew that our team would have to feature him every game and that our opponents would key in on him, yet he never considered not playing. We will all be excited to see him represent Greenhill at Yale, but before that, we will be lucky enough to watch him represent Greenhill on the basketball court this winter. Thank you, Trey! Thank you, football team.
Field Hockey
Field hockey had an amazing game Thursday, celebrating the seniors by beating Episcopal School of Dallas. The team played extremely well together, with especially strong showings from Lucia Tellini and all the seniors. They are looking forward to ending the season strong with SPC!
Boys Volleyball
Boys volleyball not only dominated on senior night, but they also won a big match against St. Stephen’s to move ahead of them in the standings to secure the 5th seed for SPC. Boys Volleyball defeated St. Andrew’s and St. Stephen’s 3-0 in both matches.
Girls Volleyball
On Tuesday, girls volleyball played Oakridge, and Jada Fleming had a great game with setting efficiency. Also, the serve receive was led by London Kuntz and Bree Caruthers’ passing. The Deibert sisters led the offense with no hitting errors. The team also had strong performances from both Jordy Wilkofsky and Kellyn Lonergan. On senior night, seniors Jordy Wilkofsky and Julia Deibert led the team to ensure they would enter SPC play on a high note!
