Faculty Member Named Tech Titans Finalist
Congratulations to Matt Abbondanzio for earning a spot as a finalist in the 25th annual Tech Titans Awards.
On July 25, Tech Titans, Texas’ largest tech trade association, announced the finalists for the 25th annual Tech Titans Awards. The awards recognize North Texas companies and individuals that leverage technology in extraordinary ways. Matt Abbondanzio, Director of Design and Innovation, was named a finalist in the Tech Titans of the Future High School Level Award. This category recognizes a North Texas high school (grades 9-12) math/science teacher or administrator for development and implementation of an innovative teaching technique or program that inspires student interest regarding further educational and/or career pursuits in science, technology, engineering, or math. The teaching technique or program must demonstrate an opportunity for students to gain applied knowledge. Only one teacher/administrator per school may be nominated, and the nomination requires testimonials from two current or former students, educators, or other individuals who have excelled or benefited from this program. Winners will be announced at an awards celebration on September 12. Tech Titans represents more than 300 member companies and over a quarter-million tech workers in the region. Headquartered in Richardson, the nonprofit serves as a convener and advocate for innovation across North Texas. |
