Student Films Screened at South by Southwest Festival

Congratulations to the seven students whose films were screened at the SXSW Film Festival earlier this year.

The South by Southwest Film Festival is one of the big three in North America, along with Sundance and Toronto International. In the 16 years of AVP sending films to the high school section of the festival, 61 films have been juried in.

This year was a big one, with six of the 13 juried-in films being Greenhill films. Note: This comes after a three-year hiatus of the high school section at the festival. A big congratulations to the following:

  • Collin Cannon ’26 and Derian Herrmann ’26, Uno
  • Ansh Gandhi ’28, Bear Bones
  • Davis Knocke ’26, Just Ask
  • Charles Waldman ’26, Lyle in Love
  • Lucas Wang ’26, Eclipse
  • Noor Zaman ’26, The Cookie Quest
