Community Make Educational Kits, Collect Supplies for Bush Elementary
Greenhill School recently delivered school supplies collected during the Estelle Dickens Drive and English Language Learning Educational Kits made during Founders Day to George H.W. Bush Elementary.

For the past 21 years, Greenhill School has hosted the Estelle Dickens Drive in honor of Estelle Dickens, who served Greenhill for 44 years (1960-2004) in a variety of positions, including a fourth-grade teacher and Head of Lower School. This year, the Greenhill community donated the following to George H.W. Bush Elementary:

As part of its Founders Day festivities, students and employees created educational kits designed to support English Language Learners (ELL) and to develop, strengthen, and enrich language learning. Greenhill delivered a total of 1,231 kits thus far, with more to be delivered in November. They included:
- 350 “Reading Road Map” Kits
- The reading road map allows children to practice and develop their reading comprehension, visual literacy, vocabulary, and critical thinking skills. •
- 358 “Preposition Play” Kits
- The kit allows children to practice and develop their prepositions, vocabulary, and listening/reading comprehension.
- 153 “Emotion Memory Game” Kits
- The kit allows children to practice and develop their vocabulary, social and emotional learning (SEL), memory skills, and logical thinking.
- 145 “Math Memory Game” Kits
- The kit allows children to practice and develop their number sense, math vocabulary, memory skills, and logical thinking.
- 104 “Preposition Puzzle” Kit
- The kit allows children to practice prepositions, build vocabulary, improve sentence structure, and strengthen reading skills.
- 121 “Math Puzzle” Kits
- The kit allows children to practice and develop problem-solving, math computation, and critical thinking skills.
