Hornet Sports Report - October 17, 2016

Football
The Greenhill football team improved to 7-1 overall, including 5-1 in SPC Counter action, following a 48-14 victory at St. Stephen's Episcopal School on Friday evening in Austin.
 
Girls Volleyball
The Greenhill girls volleyball team posted a 3-0 victory (25-22, 25-11, 25-13) at Casady School on Saturday afternoon en route to improving to 25-7 overall, including 5-0 in SPC Counter action.
 
Senior Ellen Margaret Andrews led the Hornets with 10 kills to go along with four digs while junior Allie Frymire dished out 22 assists while collecting five kills, three digs and three service aces. Megan Olomu and Sola Omonije each recorded four kills, and Jessica Pugh chipped in with three kills and four digs in the contest.
 
Field Hockey
The Greenhill field hockey team post a split this past weekend in Oklahoma and currently sit at 4-8-1 on the season, including 2-2 in SPC Counter action. The Hornets dropped a 2-1 decision to Holland Hall on Friday evening in overtime then defeated Casady School in conference action in strokes play, 2-1.
 
Boys Volleyball
The Greenhill boys volleyball team captured Fort Worth Country Day Invitational this past weekend and improved their record to 21-1 on the season.
 
The Hornets opened up action on Friday afternoon with a 2-0 victory (25-9, 25-11) over Episcopal High School before defeating St. John's School by a 2-1 margin (25-27, 25-13, 15-10) in the nightcap. On Saturday, the Hornets defeated Kinkaid School by a 2-0 score (25-19, 25-15) followed by a 2-0 victory (25-17, 25-18) over St. Mark's School of Texas in the championship match.
