From the Alumni Office: Renee Manes (Michael)

Renee Wylie Manes passed away on December 24th, 2015.

In their 44 years together, Renee and Michael traveled the world from national parks to the European continent, visiting gardens, friends and antique spots all along the way. She was a Master Gardener and plants and people alike flourished under her care. Renee volunteered at the DISD Multiple Careers Magnet Center garden program, the Peak Suburban Addition Historic District (which she helped establish), and gave many more hours of her time hosting gatherings and helping friends.

She is survived by husband Michael Manes; son and daughter in law Gavin Manes and Beth Downing and their sons Wylie and Frazier Manes; her daughter; and a loving family across the country.

There will be a celebration of Renee's life at Grace United Methodist Church, 4105 Junius @ Haskell, Saturday, January 23rd, 2016 at 3 PM. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Grace United Methodist Church, Greenhill School, or the charity of your choice.
