Greenhill Debate Team Stands Out at 60th Annual Barkley Forum

Varad Agarwala was crowned tournament champion at the 60th Annual Barkley Forum for High Schools - which is widely-considered one of the most competitive tournaments on the high school circuit - at Emory University in Atlanta this past weekend.
 
The Greenhill junior went undefeated throughout the tournament and defeated the previous year's tournament champion by a 4-1 decision in the final round. Mitali Mathur `15 earned a berth in the quarterfinals round in the Lincoln Douglas Debate. The team of Sohum Daftary `15 and Grace Kuang `17 reached the quarterfinals at the tournament in their first time teamming together. Senior Ricardo Jaramillo Esteves and sophomore Sidarth Subramanian posted a 5-1 record in the preliminary round and were one of the top-32 teams at the tournament.
 
The past weekend in the Metroplex, Seniors Martin Li `15 and Nikhil Ranganathan `15 were crowned champions of the Flower Mound Tournament.
