Greenhill Student-Athletes Honored for NCAA Division I Commitments

The Greenhill Athletics Department honored five student-athletes for their acceptance and commitment to play NCAA Division I athletics beginning in the Fall of 2018.
 
Brooke Allen (Women's Lacrosse: United States Military Academy, West Point)
A goalie, Brooke Allen earned All-SPC honors on two occasions (2016, 2017) in lacrosse for the Hornets. The Greenhill senior earned all-state accolades following the 2016 season. In addition, Allen helped the Hornets captured their first-ever Texas High School Girls Lacrosse League State Championship after helping the team to a 14-5 record, which was their best mark in over a decade. Allen is a three-sport athlete (field hockey, soccer and lacrosse) at Greenhill where she earned all-conference honors in field hockey.
 
Gabrielle Coben (Women's Lacrosse: University of Pennsylvania)
Gabrielle Coben has been honored with all-conference honors in lacrosse in each of her first three seasons with the Hornets. Coben was the top scorer for a Hornets' team that captured the 2017 Texas High School Girls Lacrosse League State Championship. In addition to being selected as the team's Most Valuable Player at the conclusion of the season, the Greenhill senior earned all-district and all-state honors. A midfielder, Coben was selected to the Under Armour Underclass Lacrosse Tournament last season. A three-sport athlete, Coben has also earned all-conference honors in both soccer and field hockey.
 
Mason Marano (Men's Lacrosse: University of Delaware)
A two-time All-SPC selection, Mason Marano has been one of the players for the Hornets since his arrival on campus. Marano has helped the Hornets post 32 victories during his first three seasons with the team, which are the most victories for the program during that span. A member of C2C Dallas, Marano was selected to play on the C2C National Team as a midfielder. The future Delaware Blue Hen was selected as an All-Star at the Maverik Showtime Tournament, Trilogy Tournament as well as the University of North Carolina Team Camp.
 
Hailey Wetherill (Softball: Columbia University)
Hailey Wetherill has been one of the Hornets' top softball players as the Greenhill senior has earned All-SPC honors in each of her first three seasons with the team. Wetherill was selected as the Hornets' Most Valuable Player following the 2017 season after the team finished with a 14-9-1 overall record. The Hornets have posted three consecutive winning seasons with Wetherill on the team, which is the first time that the Hornets have done that since 2006-08. A first baseman/outfield, Wetherill was also a member of the Texas Impact Gold team.
 
Kassidy Woods (Football: Washington State University)
Greenhill senior Kassidy Woods signed a National Letter of Intent in the early signing period to Washington State University, a member of the PAC-12 Conference. A three-time All-Southwest Preparatory Conference, Woods was ranked as a 4-Star Recruit by ESPN and listed as the 64th best player in the State of Texas. The 6-2 wide receiver finished his Greenhill career with over 2,000 yards and 20 touchdowns and also had offers from Nebraska, Iowa State, SMU and UT San Antonio.
