MS Quiz Bowl Teams Advance to National Championships

On Saturday, Greenhill hosted the annual Middle School Quiz Bowl Tournament where both teams earned a spot at the national championships, which will be held in Chicago.Individually, Josh Rubel '22 finished second out of 104 competitors after posting a score of 80.56 points per match. Gokluan Anand '22 finished third overall (73.33 points per match), and Abhi Padala '22 (36.67 points per match), Ravi Ingle '22 (35.56 points per match) and Shruti Siva '22 (33.89 points per match) finished 15th, 16th and 18th, respectively.In the team division, Greenhill's C & D teams both went 6-0 in their preliminary rounds and entered the playoffs as the top-two seeded teams. After both teams defeated their respective St. Mark's School of Texas teams, they played one another in the tournament championship. where the C Team won by a score of 375-345. The C Team averaged 527.5 points per match and had a points per bonus conversion rate of 23.55, which were the top scores in the tournament. The D Team had the second-highest scoring rate of 469.2 points per match and second-highest points per bonus conversion rate of 23.55 points per match.Congratulations to Greenhill's Quiz Bowl Teams:C Team
