Hornet Sports Report - November 6, 2017

Football
The Greenhill football team closed out its 2017 regular season with a 40-28 victory over The John Cooper School on Friday evening at Brinkmann Field. The Hornets - who are currently 6-3 overall and 6-2 in SPC Counter action - will square-off against Trinity Valley School for the SPC 3A Championship on Saturday (November 11th) at 5:00 p.m. at Pennington Field.
 
Boys Volleyball
The Greenhil boys volleyball team recorded a straight-set victory (25-15, 25-16, 25-13) over St. Mark's School on Texas on Homecoming Night at Phillips Gymnasium. The Hornets will enter the SPC Fall Championships with a 22-2-1 overall record, including a 5-1 mark in SPC Counter action.
 
Girls Volleyball
The Greenhill girls volleyball team suffered a 3-1 setback (15-25, 25-23, 25-20, 25-16) at home against E.S.D. on Homecoming Night to close out its 2017 regular season. The Hornets will enter the SPC Fall Championships with an 11-19 overall record and 4-2 mark in SPC Counter action.
 
Senior Allie Frymire led the Hornets with a double-double (37 assists and 13 digs) while Jessica Pugh recorded a team-high nine kills to go along with 16 digs and three service aces. Arfa Chowdhary notched a team-high 17 digs for the Hornets.
