Alumni Volunteers needed in Dallas Wednesday, September 13

Greenhill School will again partner with The Bridge for our annual Alumni Service Project. The Bridge Homeless Recovery Center works to end long-term homelessness in Dallas and the surrounding areas by developing, coordinating, and/or delivering shelter, homeless recovery and housing solutions. The Bridge through its many partnerships, provides assistance to approximately 8% of Dallas County’s homeless population.

For this project we will serve meals during the dinner meal service at the Second Chance Café. The Second Chance Cafe serves three nutritious meals a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year, to 500 – 700 individuals per meal service - with the assistance of over 1300 volunteers a month. As a volunteer you will help serve a meal, in a cafeteria style setting, prepared by The Second Chance Cafe kitchen staff. Volunteers will also pour beverages for guests once they are seated. This is a casual event and you will need to wear closed toe shoes.

This service opportunity is a great way to give back to our community while catching up with former classmates.

Volunteers MUST be at least 14 years of age and children are not permitted in the facility.
