Greenhill Student-Athletes Sign National Letters of Intent

Greenhill seniors Max Mendelsohn and Rheagan Smith each signed a National Letter of Intent to continue their athletic careers at the collegiate level during a Signing Day Ceremony on Wednesday in Rose Hall.
 
Mendelsohn will continue his tennis career at Pepperdine University - a member of the West Coast Conference. The Tennis Recruiting Network listed Mendelsohn as a five-star recruit and is currently ranked 62nd in the nation in Junior Tennis. Over the past five seasons, Mendelsohn has been one of the top junior players in the nation where he won two silver balls and two bronze balls en route to achiving a ranked as high as second in the nation by the USTA. The Greenhill senior was ranked 325th in the world by the International Tennis Federation (ITF).
 
Smith will continue her soccer career at Texas A&M University - a member of the Southeastern Conference. A two-time All-Southwest Preparatory Conference selection, Smith scored 20 goals to go along with 12 assists during her junior campaign. The future Aggie was named to the United States U-18 Women's National Team roster in 2015 for training camp. In addition to her success on the soccer field, Smith was also a standout on the track where she was a conference champion for the Hornets.
