Hornets Fall on Road to Fort Worth Country Day, 51-32

The Greenhill football program suffered its first setback of the season on Friday evening as the Hornets dropped a 51-32 decision to Fort Worth Country Day. The Hornets fell to 4-1 on the season and 2-1 in SPC Counter action.
 
Senior Konnell Woods completed 29-of-40 passes for 391 yards and three touchdowns to go along with 50 yards on the ground and one score. Woods got the Hornets on the board in the first quarter on a 54-yard scoring strike to his brother, Kassidy, for a quick 7-0 lead. In the fourth quarter, Woods connected with junior Xavier Bryant for scores of 26 and 19 yards.
 
Bryant caught a career-high 15 passes for 240 yards and two scores while Kassidy Woods caught five passes for 102 yards and one touchdown. Bryant also rushed for 26 yards on two carries in the contest.
 
The Hornets outgained the Falcons by a 495-342 margin, but Fort Worth Country Day controlled the pace of the game, especially in the second half of action, with a ground gain that produced 270-87 advantage.
