SPC Announces Fall All-Conference Honors

The Southwest Preparatory Conference announced on Thursday that Greenhill School had 14 student-athletes honored with fall all-conference recognition.
 
The boys volleyball team had a trio of first-time award winners in senior Ryan Diebner and sophomores Rishi Vas and Barrett Winchell. The Greenhill trio led the Hornets to their first SPC Championship since the 2011 season while finishing 25-9 overall under first-year head coach Mauro Grasso.
 
Senior Danielle Milner earned all-conference honors for the third time in her volleyball career and was joined on the list by two-time winner Ellen Margaret Andrews and first-time recipient Michal Mathis. The teammates played a major role in the Hornets' first conference title since the 2005 season and helped guide the team to a 35-6 overall record under head coach Tatiane Deibert.
 
The girls cross country team, which finished third at the conference meet, had a pair of award winners in two-time honorees Madison Cook and Ariana Luterman as well as first-timer Chandler Crates. The boys cross country team, which finished seventh at the conference meet, had a pair of first-time award winners in sophomore Daniel Brickman and freshman Jacob Shepherd.
 
Brothers Kassidy and Konnell Woods represented the Greenhill football team on the all-conference team. The quarterback and wide receiver combination helped guide the Hornets to a 4-6 overall record.
 
Seniors Peyton Shuman and Abby Shosid each earned all-conference honors for the first time in their careers for the field hockey team, which finished 6-9-1 overall and sixth at the SPC Championships.
