Greenhill Debate Team Captures Tournament Title in Nevada

The Greenhill Debate Team captured its third championship of the season this past weekend when the squad traveled to Nevada to compete at The Meadows School Debate Tournament, one of most competitive in the West.In the Lincoln Douglas Debate, seniors Bennett Eckert and Varad Agarwala accomplished the third "close out" of the final round, which marked the third time this season that Greenhill students were able to accomplish this feat in a major invitational. Senior Graham Baker earned a berth in the quarterfinals.Juniors Grace Kuang and Sid Subramanian each earned a spot in the semifinals in Policy Debate, and qualified for their first-ever bid to the Tournament of Champions. Senior Kevin Wei and junior Diego Marrero advanced to the elimination rounds.
