Hornets Notch Home Win Against Hockaday

The Greenhill girls basketball team defeated Hockaday in SPC action, 64-49, at home, improving their conference record to 4-0 on January 27. After a great first half, Hockaday cut the lead down to 4 early in the fourth quarter, before Greenhill pulled away. Greenhill had four girls score in double figures. 

 

They were led by Sibelle Zambie’s 23. Leah Smith finished with 12 points and a career-high 5 assists, and Katie Stone finished with 11 points and 6 rebounds. Anyiah Calhoun gave the team an excellent contribution off the bench finishing the game with a career-high in points (16) and rebounds (14). The highlight of the night was the junior Mavs playing at halftime!
