Greenhill Flutist Wins Third Place at NFA High School Soloist Competition

Congratulations to Ayne Park '24, who won third place at the National Flute Association 38th Annual High School Soloist Competition, the most prestigious performance competition for high school level flutists in the United States. The competition took place in Chicago at the 2022 NFA Convention on August 11-14, 2022.

 

The NFA holds 22 competitions to reward outstanding performers, composers, publishers, scholars, and entrepreneurs. Among these are 18 performance competitions to select outstanding flutists to perform at the NFA convention and four non-performance competitions. Ayne was one of only eight finalists in the High School Soloist Competition.

 

Ayne has been playing the flute for seven years, under the instruction of Ms. Monica Song and Mr. Won P. Lee. She is also a member of the ATSSB 3A All-State Band and the Greater Dallas Youth Orchestra (GDYO).
