Greenhill Student Earns Girl Scout Gold Award

Congratulations to Sofia Valli ’23 on becoming a Gold Award Girl Scout, the most prestigious honor the organization can award. Girl Scouts can earn a Gold Award through a service project they thoroughly research, present to their council, and carry out. To achieve her Gold Award, Sofia partnered up with Scottish Rite Children's Hospital in Dallas and donated 275 craft kits for the admitted children. She did a few workshops with her fellow scouts and peers, bringing awareness to the work of Scottish Rite.

Sofia started as a Brownie and has been a girl scout for over ten years. She has completed her Silver Award project, a requirement to be eligible for a Gold Award, where she created an activity book from scratch and donated 250 copies to the Children's Medical Center.
