Greenhill Upper and Middle School Teams Win First and Second at TSJCL Annual Convention

Congratulations to Greenhill Upper School and Middle School students who attended and competed at the 2022 Texas State Junior Classical League Annual Convention on April 8-10 at Alamo Heights High School in San Antonio. After two years of virtual events, the students were happy to gather again with their peers for this state-wide competition.

The Middle School Team made Greenhill history by earning the 1st place trophy in the Silver Division, the division exclusively designated for Middle School and Lower School Programs. In July, twenty Middle School students will represent Greenhill at the 2022 National Junior Classical League Convention at the University of Lafayette, Louisiana. Congratulations again to those that participated.

Greenhill Upper School JCL students received 2nd place in Sweepstakes Gold Division, the division for high school and upper school programs with 10 to 29 competing students.
Emily Ding '22 received two trophies for scoring the top score in two highly competitive areas, Roman Life and Classical Art.
Nikitha Thoduguli '23 acted as TSJCL Webmaster proxy for Shruti Siva '22, who has served as TSJCL Webmaster for the past two years.
Emily Ding '22 worked tirelessly as the Torch State Newsletter Editor and successfully published the "Midnight Torch," a digital publication for the competition. She oversaw the judging of several Classical Civilization areas and announced awards results. Emily is grateful to the Greenhill Upper School Faculty, who judged the State T-shirt submissions on her behalf.
Congratulations again to all of the students that participated.
