Greenhill Student Named First-Ever Youth Poet Laureate

Congratulations to Madison Rojas '23, who was named Dallas's first-ever Youth Poet Laureate in a special ceremony at Dallas City Hall on April 6, 2022. The Youth Poet Laureate is part of a new program initiated by the Dallas Public Library in conjunction with the annual Express Yourself! poetry competition and Poet Laureate of Dallas position. The role aims to promote and support youth literary talents and boost youth voices in Dallas.

Madison will serve a one-year team as The Youth Poet Laureate and will be published in the Express Yourself! Finalists' Anthology. She will also participate in public readings and other Express Yourself! events.
