2021 Wes Kittleman Impact Award Honoree: Corbin Doyle

Yesterday during the final Upper School community time meeting, Head of Upper School Trevor Worcester announced faculty member Corbin Doyle as the 2021 Wes Kittleman Impact Award honoree.

Established by Alexandra and Johnny Chilton ’78, the Wes Kittleman Impact Award is named in honor of Wes Kittleman, former Upper School faculty member. It is awarded annually to one member of the Upper School full-time teaching faculty.

Nominated by the senior class and voted on by the Upper School student body, this award recognizes an outstanding member of the teaching faculty in Upper School who is known for excellence and dedication in their positive and transformational impact on students. This award includes a monetary gift given at the end of the school year.

Here are some comments taken from the nominations submitted by the Class of 2021:
•    This teacher’s positive energy and attitude is contagious, and he is often the one to shine light on people going through dark times.
•    He gives 100% for his classes, spending his own time and money to make sure his classes are the best they can be.
•    Everyone who steps foot into his room can walk away with something that they discovered about themselves. The community fostered under him is a group of talented and kind people.
•    He consistently sacrifices his well-being and time to ensure that the learning environment in his class is positive for his students. He can open people's minds to new ideas.
•    Beyond being a teacher, he is a mentor to many people on campus. His selflessness as a mentor should serve as a lesson to all members of our community.

Thank you to the Chilton family for making this award possible.
