Cavalcade Takes Gold Medal Honors in CSPA Contest

Congratulations to the students and faculty who put together the 2019-2020 Cavalcade (Greenhill’s yearbook) for winning a Gold Medalist rating and an All-Columbian Honors award from the Columbia Scholastic Press Association (CSPA)!

The CSPA judges yearbooks in three categories: reference, verbal, and visual. The 2019-2020 Cavalcade scored a total of 924 points out of a possible 1000 points, the highest score a Greenhill yearbook has ever received.

The All-Columbian Honors award is given when a section receives 95% or more of the possible points. Greenhill won this award for scoring 392/400 points in the visual category.

The 2019-2020 yearbook editor in chief was Anna Robinowitz ’20. Current seniors Lucy Sayah and Abby Meyers were last year’s assistant editors in chiefs and are now serving as the editors in chiefs. Upper School and AP Studio Art Instructor Lesley Rucker is the faculty advisor for Cavalcade.

The CSPA, which is owned and operated by Columbia University, is an international student press association, whose goal is to unite student journalists and faculty advisers at schools and colleges through educational conferences, idea exchanges, textbooks, critiques and award programs.
