National YoungArts Foundation Honors US Photography Students

The National YoungArts Foundation recognized four Upper School students in its photography competition, which is the most awards that Greenhill students have earned in a single year.

Senior Joshua Flowers earned Finalist honors, and he will partake in a week of performances, master classes, and exhibitions in an online environment. In addition, Flowers is now eligible for the Presidential Scholars in the Arts nominations. Junior Travis Mann was cited with Honorable Mention laurels while senior Sami Khan and junior Ashley Shan were both honored with Merit Awards. Since 2009, Greenhill photography students have earned six Finalists, four Honorable Mention, and nine Merit Awards in the competition.

The National YoungArts Foundation will recognize over 700 of the nation's most promising young artists in visual, literary, design, and performing arts. Thousands of applications are submitted each year, and the YoungArts winners will gain access to financial, professional, and artistic development opportunities throughout their careers.
