Greenhill Students Explore Challenging Topics With CARRIE

Greenhill Theatre’s winter musical, CARRIE the Musical, is scheduled for January 31 at 7:00 pm and February 1 at 2:00 pm and 7:00 pm.

The show, based on the well-known Stephen King thriller, offers the students the opportunity to explore challenging themes including bullying, mental and physical abuse, unhealthy relationships, and violence at school. To ensure that our students were prepared to participate in such a demanding performance, Greenhill counselors met with the entire cast and crew to examine the content in the play and identify appropriate and healthy responses to use in their day to day lives. Cast and crew members will share their discoveries with the entire Upper School in the week leading up to the production.

In addition, the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) will provide resources in the lobby after each performance, and the theater department will set up an area for audience members to process the show and leave feedback. Tickets are available at www.greenhill.org/tickets.
