Greenhill Debate Team Post High Marks at Grapevine Classic
The Greenhill Debate Team put together another successful weekend as the team competed at the Grapevine Classic along with 100 schools from over a dozen states.
WORLD SCHOOLS DEBATE For the second straight tournament, two Greenhill teams closed out the finals and captured first- and second-place honors. The sister-trio of Nicole '20, Aimee '22, and Natalie '24 Stachowiak earned a berth to the finals along with sophomores Jothi Gupta, Ashton Higgins, Ashley Shan and freshman Nikitha Thoduguli.
Gupta, Higgins, and Shan have now qualified for the Texas Forensic Association (TFA) State Tournament, which will be held in March.
LINCOLN DOUGLAS DEBATE Sophomore Krutin Devesh advanced to the double-octofinals in Lincoln Douglas Debate.
INDIVIDUAL EVENTS Junior Joshua Timmons finished fifth overall in Prose Interpretation and reached the semifinals in Program of Oral Interpretation. For his effort, Timmons has qualified for the National Individuals Events Tournametn of Championships in Program of Oral Interpretation, which will be held in May.
Freshman Megan Liu advanced to the semifinals in Prose.
