MS Students Sweep 2019 Letters About Literature Competition

Greenhill Middle School students took the top-three spots in the Level 1 category (Grades 4-6) in the 2019 Letters About Literature competition, sponsored in part by the Texas Center for the Book.
 
Asha Blewett '25 received first-place honors on a letter that she wrote to Deborah Ellis based upon her book, Moon at Nine. Blewett will have her letter submitted for competition at the national level, and will have the opportunity to read her letter and be honored at the Texas Association of School Librarians Meeting at their annual conference in Dallas.
 
Chloe Nguyen '25 won second-place honors on a letter she wrote to Sharon Draper based upon her book, Out of My Mind. Lukas Palys '25 finished third overall with a letter about The City of Ember by Jeanne DuPrau.
