Led by teacher Corbin Doyle, a group of students represented Greenhill at SxSW again this year. SxSW is considered one of the three most important festivals in North America... (Sundance and Toronto International are the other two), yet SxSW is the only one of those three that juries high school student films into the festival in a dedicated student reel.
Greenhill has submitted two films to SxSW this year:
Michelle Liang’s Yellow Fever
Sophia Rigg’s
Forbidden Fruit
These two films bring Greenhill Film’s total to 47 films at SxSW over the last 11 years.
Mr. Doyle's team is early into the festival season and have just started sending films out, yet the accolades are already tremendous.
Listed below are the films and their makers, and the festivals that have juried their films into them. Some of these film festivals, like the Wimberley Film Festival, typically doesn’t have a dedicated student section, so it is a noteworthy accomplishment that some of these films are being juried with adult work.
