Greenhill understands that many families require care of their children beyond the normal school hours.
In the morning, Lower School students (PreK – 4th) may arrive as early as 7:00 a.m. Teachers provide oversight and guidance until students are released for class. We provide this care free of charge and do not require advance registration.
Greenhill’s After School Program is known as Extended Day. Our Extended Day program is built around the belief that after a structured day at school, children need time to make choices. We offer children the opportunity to participate in a structured activity lead by an Extended Day teacher, finish homework, or simply play on the playground. We also offer special interest classes, such as chess, yoga or karate, that take place during Extended Day hours.
Extended Day is available for Lower and Middle School students. It starts at the end of the child’s school day (2:30 p.m. for PreK/K/Primer, 3:00 p.m. for Lower School, 3:45 p.m. for Middle School) and lasts until 6:00 p.m. We have a limited number of Extended Day spots, but we are able to accommodate most families that register for the program.
