Greenhill Alumnus Elected 55th Mayor of Dallas

Greenhill alumnus Eric Johnson '94 was elected as the 55th Mayor of Dallas on Saturday and will officially take office on June 17.
 
A veteran lawmaker in the Texas Legislature, Johnson represented the Texas House District 100 since 2010, which included portions of South Dallas, Oak Cliff, East and West Dallas. During his time in the Texas Legislature, Johnson served on several committees, including Ways and Means, Investments and Financial Services, Homeland Security and Public Safety.
 
Johnson graduated from Greenhill in 1994 then earned his bachelor's degree from Harvard University in 1998. The newly-elected Dallas Mayor also holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Pennsylvania Law School along with a Master of Public Affairs degree from Princeton University. His wife, Nakita Garraway Johnson, is a 2002 graduate of Greenhill School. The couple has two sons.
