Former Board Chair Honored by Texas Women's Foundation
Former Board of Trustees Chair Sally Dunning will be one of five women recognized with the 2019 Maura Women Helping Women Award by the Texas Women's Foundation.
As the Chair at Greenhill, Dunning helped to expand the School's diversity and instituted scholarship programs to advance gender equality. In addition, she co-chaired Planned Parenthood of Greater Texas with a goal of $12.5 million, which was exceeded in order to ensure accessbile healthcare for all women covered by the affiliate. Dunning has also served on the board of Annie's List where a strategic plan was created to help elect more women to local and state offices. Dunning has served on numerous other boards and community initiatives. As an interior designer, she established The Design Studio and worked for many individuals, clients and companies for more than 50 years.
Dunning and the other recipients will be honored at the Leadership Forum & Awards Dinner, presented by AT&T, on May 2 at the Omni Dallas Hotel. The event will begin at 5:30 p.m. with a sponsor reception followed by a general reception at 6:00 p.m. Sallie Krawcheck, CEO and co-founder of Ellevest, will serve as the event's keynote speaker.
