The application deadline for the 2022-2023 school year has passed. Please contact the admission office with questions. If you have already applied and need access to your online application checklist, please click here. Our application for the 2023-2024 school year will be available by mid-September.

Step #1: Application

Submit an Online Application, including the $100 non-refundable application fee by January 7, 2022. If this fee presents a hardship for your family, please contact Amy deBorst, Director of Financial Aid. Once your application is processed, which can take up to 72 hours, you will have access to your child’s Online Application Checklist.

Step #2: Teacher Evaluation

Once you have submitted your application, and it has been processed, you will have access to online Teacher Evaluation Requests for both math and English teachers on your child’s Online Application Checklist. Please enter your child’s math and English teachers' names and emails onto those forms, then submit. They will receive electronic confidential Teacher Evaluations for your child, which must be completed and submitted to Greenhill School by January 26, 2022. It is the family's responsibility to see that Greenhill receives these forms before the deadline. Your child’s teacher may want to wait until closer to the deadline to submit the form in order to get to know your child better.

Step #3: Admission Testing

Complete ISEE testing by February 14, 2022. ISEE offers At-Home options, testing at Prometric Centers, and testing at some local schools. Click here to register for the ISEE Test and for more information concerning the ISEE Exam. You must be registered at least three weeks prior to the test date. For more information about what to expect on the ISEE exam, please click here. We will not be testing on the Greenhill campus this year.
Greenhill participates in a testing consortium with Dallas area independent schools. Students testing for grades 5-11 only have to take the entrance exam once and results will be sent to the schools you designate. ERB charges additional fees for late registration and for telephone registration. For assistance in registering for the ISEE, you may call (800) 446-0320. All ISEE fees are in addition to Greenhill's application fee. If this testing fee presents a hardship for your family, please contact Amy DeBorst, Director of Financial Aid.

Step #4: Transcript/Progress Reports

Once you have submitted your application, and it has been processed, you will have access to an online Transcript/Grades/Progress Reports Request, located on your child’s Online Application Checklist. Please enter the name and email of the person at your child’s current school who is responsible for sending transcripts, grades, or progress reports; they will receive an email that contains a link to submit the documents for the last two years directly to Greenhill. Transcripts may consist of progress reports, test results, and letter or numeric grades. The deadline for receipt of these documents is January 26, 2022.

Step #5: Candidate Statement

Each student applying to grades 5 to 11 must complete the Candidate Statement page on the Online Application Checklist (which will be available upon submission of the Application) by January 26, 2022. CLICK HERE for a preview of the questions.

Step #6: Interest Form & Virtual Interview

All applicants for grades 5 to 11 are required to complete an interview with a Greenhill staff member. Use the Interest and Interview Form on the student’s Online Application Checklist (which will be available upon submission of the Application) to choose a date and timeframe for your virtual interview. In addition to allowing you to choose a date for your student’s interview appointment, the form asks questions about the applicant’s interests. Please have your child complete the interest portion of that form so that we may learn more about them.
We were hoping to be able to offer optional visits for Middle and Upper School applicants this winter. Given the current surge of the omicron variant in North Texas, we won’t be able to offer them at this time. We are working on a plan to allow admitted students to visit later this spring, once the number of cases has subsided.

Step #7: Financial Aid

If you are considering applying for financial aid, please indicate this on the Financial Aid form on the Optional Steps section of your child’s Online Application Checklist. You must complete the formal Financial Aid Application process by February 15, 2022. Families of admitted students who apply by the deadline will receive their financial aid award at the same time as their admission decision, on March 11, 2022. While we are able to accept Financial Aid applications after this deadline, we cannot guarantee that funds will be available. If you have any questions about financial aid, please contact Amy deBorst, Director of Financial Aid, at (972) 628-5522.

Step #8: Admission Decision

Review your decision letter, which will be emailed after 4:00 pm on March 11, 2022, to those applicants meeting the above deadlines. Decision types: Accepted, Wait Pool, Non-Acceptance.
ACCEPTED: These applicants are qualified to attend Greenhill and show promise of not only benefiting from, but also contributing to, the school. These students are offered enrollment positions. The school's offer must be accepted or declined by the date specified on the Enrollment Contract. A non-refundable tuition deposit must also be submitted at that time.
WAIT POOL: These applicants are admissible but all available enrollment positions have been filled. Instead of being offered an enrollment position, a wait pool position is offered. Wait pools are NOT prioritized waiting lists; when and if an opening arises in a particular grade, the Director of Admission and the appropriate Division Head will determine which applicant in the wait pool can best fill that enrollment position. The wait pool does not carry over from year to year. Placement in the wait pool one year does not influence admission decisions for any following year in which the student reapplies to Greenhill. The wait pool is disbanded at the start of the school year and the admission process begins again for interested applicants.
NON-ACCEPTANCE: These candidates are not offered enrollment at Greenhill School.

Non-Discrimination Policy
