Student Wins Best In Show at 23rd Annual Black & White Images Exhibition

Greenhill senior Margot Beauchamp took top honors at the 23rd Annual Black & White Images Exhibition sponsored by the Fort Worth Country Day School Visual Art Department. The prestigious exhibition was juried by world-renowned photographer, Laura Wilson.

Beauchamp’s winning photograph, “Ryan,” is a portrait of a young man (pictured). She used the wet-plate process, a technique which produces an image on a glass plate. Greenhill is only one of two schools to use the wet-plate photography process. Beauchamp was honored during an awards ceremony and reception on January 23 at the Fort Worth Country Day School.

There were approximately 570 entries from 13 Dallas/Fort Worth area schools. Greenhill Photography submitted 60 images to the exhibition. The following is a list of Greenhill students who placed in the Black & White Images Exhibition:

About the Black & White Images Exhibition
Sponsored by the Fort Worth Country Day Visual Art Department, Black & White Images provides a forum for exhibiting student photographs from regional private and public high schools. The exhibition offers students an opportunity to exchange ideas, receive due recognition and display outstanding photography. This year, Fort Worth Country Day received entries from 13 schools. Laura Wilson, the juror, selected the prints for inclusion in the show. Students and instructors alike should be proud of the quality of work in the exhibition.
