The MTNA Junior Piano Competition Finals took place on Saturday, March 28 during the MTNA National Conference.  The three-tiered MTNA National Competition began at the State level in November 2008. Winners at the state level advanced to one of seven Division Competitions held across the US. The seven Division Competition winners then proceeded to the National Competition Finals held in Atlanta. Although not a winner at the National level, Aaron was the youngest of the seven National Junior Piano Finalists. More than 1800 students from across the country originally participated in this MTNA sponsored competition which also covers strings, brass, composition and voice.
