Upper School

In Upper School, we are proud that no two students will follow the exact same path through their high school years. After a core program in your Freshman and Sophomore years, you will have the foundation to chart your own course as Juniors and Seniors. With a full-range of AP courses and electives, such as Understanding September 11th, Biotechnology and Creative Writing, you play a major role in shaping your academic experience. As a result, you will have the preparation needed to be successful in college and beyond, while exploring your passions in meaningful ways.

Guiding you through this experience is a dedicated faculty of exceptional teachers, who are committed to your growth as students and as people. Our daily schedule provides time for you to meet with your teachers outside of class, allowing you to develop relationships that go beyond academics and which will last well after your time at Greenhill.

With an enrollment of 450, the Upper School is small enough for you to be known and valued as an individual, but large enough to provide all of the opportunities you could hope for in high school. We have a strong athletic program with teams in 22 sports and a stellar fine arts program, with offerings ranging from orchestra, to dance, to video production. In addition, we have numerous student-driven publications, clubs and organizations, including The Evergreen, Heartwork and Social Justice Club, to name a few.

As a student in the Upper School, you will be challenged and engaged in ways that will help you reach your potential as a scholar, an athlete, an artist, and most importantly, a person.
